NEW WESTERN ATLANTIC - Senator and candidate for the Constructive Party nomination for Prime Minister, Trump and Pence, claims that he was not invited to the debate that consisted of his rivals. An anonymous supporter of Trump and Pence claims that he believes the Constructive party establishment and its leadership is trying to tilt the scales against his preferred candidate, even believing that they are trying to hand Calponia the nomination without allowing for a fair and open primary. This comes immediately after a select few rightists, notably Dependants (CON) and Northern Timena (RFP), accused the Activist Party of corruption.
Trade Federations has not yet responded to the allegations of corruption, although Activist senator Norrizi did respond to RBC's request for comment saying that "the Constructive party has a problem with hypocrisy; they like to accuse the Activist party of corruption when in reality they seem to be the one with that problem." Calponia and Russian Empire took shots at T&P during the debate, saying things like "Let's look at the person who didn't even want to be in this debate, TnP, maybe he should at least have asked to be in this display of PM Candidates opinions?". Comments like that are considered a bit strange seeing as T&P was never even offered an invite to the Constructive debate, per T&P himself. Should the Constructive Party want a meaningful dialogue between their candidates and a legitimate exchange of ideas; then they should allow all of their candidates to debate, not just a select few who have been handpicked by the party leadership. If nothing changes and T&P is not given his chance to speak his mind and participate in the supposedly democratic Constructive primary, perhaps he should consider an independent run.
